The first Youth Business Forum Held in Sarajevo

Under the slogan “We don’t want to wait for jobs, we want to create them!”, the first Youth Business Forum was held in Sarajevo on October 2nd and 3rd.

The aim of this event was to encourage dialogue between key actors on mechanisms of support to young people who wish to start their own business.

“At the Youth Business Forum, students proved that they are ready to create conditions for their own employment and business development through their work, knowledge and creativity” – is what more than 80 participants of the Youth Business Forum agreed upon.

This event, organized within the “Youth Entrepreneurship” project, gathered the representatives of government institutions, academic and business community, international donors, students and media in order to support and promote young people in B&H who wish to start their own business. Words of support to students present were delivered by Mr. David J. Barth, the chief of the USAID mission to B&H and Mr. Muharem Avdispahic, the rector of the University of Sarajevo.
